Family Feud Takes a Public Turn Amid Court-Ordered Maintenance
MUMBAI: In a dramatic turn of events, Seeshiv Munde, son of Maharashtra’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde, has publicly backed his father while accusing his mother, Karuna Sharma, of domestic violence.
This comes just two days after a metropolitan magistrate court ordered Dhananjay Munde to pay an interim monthly maintenance of ₹2 lakh to his estranged first wife, Karuna Sharma, and their daughter, Shivani.
Seeshiv Alleges Abuse Against Father and Children
In a social media post, Seeshiv claimed that while his father “wasn’t perfect”, he was never harmful, unlike his mother.
“She had traumas, and the worst way to deal with them was by traumatizing us. The domestic violence she claims happened to her actually happened to me and my sister,” Seeshiv wrote.
He further alleged that after his father left due to physical abuse, his mother forced him and his sister to leave, stating she “had nothing to do with them.”
Seeshiv also refuted claims that his mother faced financial difficulties, asserting that his father had been supporting them since 2020.
“She chose not to pay the home loan and is now fabricating stories to wage a vendetta against my father,” he alleged.
Karuna Sharma Responds, Claims Son Spoke Under Pressure
Reacting to her son’s allegations, Karuna Sharma claimed that Seeshiv’s post was made under pressure from Dhananjay Munde.
“My children have a good relationship with their father, but he forced Seeshiv to make that statement. They are tired of this media trial and don’t want to be dragged into it anymore. Dhananjay kept calling Seeshiv while I was speaking to the media after the court verdict, pressuring him,” Sharma alleged.
She also claimed that her children fear being jailed due to the ongoing legal battle.
