Trends show end of AAP’s experimental politics: Sudhanshu Trivedi

BJP Set to Form Government in Delhi After 27 Years, Leaders Credit Public Mandate Against AAP’s Misgovernance

New Delhi, Feb 8 (IANS) – The phase of experimental politics has come to an end, with voters holding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accountable for alleged corruption and misgovernance, BJP National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi stated on Saturday. As election trends indicate a decisive victory for the BJP, the party is poised to return to power in Delhi after a 27-year hiatus.

Trivedi asserted that AAP’s approach, marked by negativity and superficial tactics such as the ‘Yamuna poisoning’ controversy, has been firmly rejected by the electorate. “The misrule of the AAP government over the past decade has inflicted significant hardship on the people of Delhi. Today, they have responded with a strong mandate,” he said.

Echoing similar sentiments, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh emphasized that the electorate has held AAP accountable for its failure to deliver on its promises.

As early results indicated a BJP lead, party leaders expressed confidence in securing a decisive victory, attributing the positive momentum to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari extended his gratitude to Delhi’s citizens for their overwhelming support. “We are witnessing the blessings of the people of Delhi. Given the current trends, we are fully confident that this support will remain steadfast until the final tally. With deep humility, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Delhi,” he stated.

Ramesh Bidhuri, BJP’s candidate from Kalkaji, attributed the voting trends to growing public dissatisfaction with the AAP government. “This is a clear verdict against Kejriwal’s governance, his false assurances, and the unfulfilled promises of the past decade. The people have made their decision—AAP will exit, and BJP will take charge in Delhi,” he remarked.

BJP Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia highlighted the unwavering trust that citizens place in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “While the final results are yet to be declared, it is evident that the people of Delhi have placed their faith in the BJP. Under PM Modi’s leadership, there is unparalleled confidence in his vision for governance. His guarantees remain unmatched across the country,” he stated.

With the BJP positioned to reclaim power in Delhi, party leaders remain optimistic about ushering in a new phase of governance focused on accountability, development, and stability.
