Apple Set to Launch iPhone SE 4 with Major Design and AI Upgrades

Apple is gearing up to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, which will bring a fresh design inspired by the iPhone 14 and include advanced AI capabilities. The new model is expected to be officially announced in the coming days, with sales likely starting later this month. Unlike its predecessor, which retained the classic home button, the updated SE 4 will adopt Face ID and feature Apple’s AI-powered software, Apple Intelligence.

Reports suggest that Apple may launch the device via its website rather than hosting a dedicated event. Signs of an impending release are already visible, as stocks of the current SE model have been running low in Apple retail stores across the US. Some configurations, such as the red version with 256GB storage, are already seeing shipping delays until March.

The new iPhone SE is also expected to feature a USB-C charging port, making it compliant with European regulations that led to the discontinuation of the previous SE and iPhone 14 in the EU. This change will allow Apple to reintroduce its entry-level device in European markets. Additionally, Apple is betting big on emerging markets like India and China, where a budget-friendly iPhone with premium features could attract a wider audience.

Powered by Apple’s in-house cellular modem and the faster A18 chip, the iPhone SE 4 will mark a significant upgrade, ensuring smoother performance and better connectivity. While the current model is priced at $429, the revamped version could see a slight price increase due to its enhanced design and features. However, Apple aims to keep it competitive with rival brands like Samsung and Google.

The launch of the iPhone SE 4 comes at a crucial time for Apple, as iPhone sales dipped by 1% during the holiday season. The company is also planning a broader refresh of its lineup, with the iPhone 17 series set to introduce major upgrades, including an ultra-thin variant in line with the industry’s shift toward slimmer smartphones.
