New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Union Budget for 2025-26 on Saturday, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and inclusive development.
Delivering the 14th consecutive Budget under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sitharaman stated, “Together, we embark on a journey to unlock our potential for greater prosperity.”
Highlighting India’s robust economic performance, she emphasized that the country remains the fastest-growing among all developing economies.
In her record eighth consecutive Budget presentation, the finance minister underscored the significance of the coming years, stating, “We see the next five years as a unique opportunity to stimulate growth and drive economic transformation.”
